Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?I am an energetic, professional who likes to have FUN with her clients. I will try my very best to make my subject’s true selves shine through in my photographs. There is nothing more meaningful than genuine, heartfelt, raw emotion. My photographic goal is to capture nothing less. Being with people! I love the couples, kids, and families that I meet. Every one is unique. Usually, I create a lasting connection with my clients which starts from engagement & wedding, and ends up with maternity, newborn, and family shoots! It is heartwarming to establish such connections with my clients and see their families and love grow over the years. It makes me feel blessed to be a part of their journey in life. I think that the most important part of my business is open and honest communication. My clients and I trust each other to meet expectations on our shoot/event. Since we establish rapport with in-person meetings, e-mails, Pinterest board pins, texts (yes!), there is a mutual trust that my photography services will be what is expected. We have planned ideas together and have a blast bringing those ideas to life when it comes time to actually take photos. During the editing process, I am always communicating with my clients and sending them sneak-peeks of their photos. I understand that they are anxious to see the final results, and whenever I can, I will send them killer shots to keep them excited as their photos are finishing up. I also keep my editing turn around times very quick. There have been whole weekends where I will devote my hours to editing an event to keep my clients content and thrilled with their photos. I am just as excited to share to give them back as I am when I am shooting! 🙂
How do I pick a good photographer when there are hundreds listed in my area?First, look for a photographer that appeals to your style and always go with your gut. Make sure you research their previous work and are happy with what you see! Once you’ve got a few favorite photographers, narrow it down to a handful of favorites, and set up a time to meet them at a local Starbucks or somewhere public. Make sure you’re meeting with the person who will be shooting the camera at your wedding. You have to, like, trust and get along with the photographer that will be present on your big day. Some photographers are just not the right “fit” for some clients, and that’s okay! Take the time to find someone who is. You’ll be spending many hours with them during your wedding day. If you are not comfortable, it will show in your photos.
How would you describe your photography style?I would best classify myself as a creative photojournalist. I shoot photographs and moments throughout the day that you might have not have even known happened. I love taking photographs of everyone’s reactions when they see you for the first time, that wedding guest who will do “the worm” during the reception hour, and I seek out the raw emotion of the day. I find myself skilled at anticipating, which makes it easy for me to predict a moment before it happens. I will make sure I am there to catch it! With that being said, I also respect your personal space and the space of your guests. Yes, you might find me in the middle of the dance floor during the reception, but never being intrusive during the ceremony. I will gather all of the shots like a stealthy detective from the sidelines, making sure to be respectful of your union.
How do I hire you as our wedding photographer?I’m so happy you asked! Please use the Contact Us form or e-mail me directly (email@example.com). Please send me your wedding/event date, so I can let you know if it’s available. From there, we’ll set up an initial meeting so I can meet you over coffee. We’ll get to know each other before we set anything in stone. I will describe and explain my photography collections. as well as show you album and print samples. Be prepared though: I will ask you about the proposal, and I may or may not cry. Just sayin.’
Do you touch up all the images on our image DVD?Yes, every image. We are not going to hand you over a disc of unedited images and let you decide what photographs you would like us to edit (yes, other photographers do do this…) We will edit every image, one-by-one, to ensure each image is showcased for its true beauty. This editing involves adjustments in exposure, sharpening, and color. I treat each photograph as a work of art. I will deliver a mix of black & white and color images. Please take a look at our Wedding Gallery Page to get a sense of our photographic voice and become acquainted with our style and our finished product. We are consistent in this style, and if it matches your style, then we are on to something here!
Do you have photos of entire weddings that I can see?Yes we do! Just ask, and we would love to share a sample wedding with you. We would direct you to a sample online album that we offer each wedding client. It lets you download, share to all social media, e-mail, and order prints, with the click of a button. The best part is, where ever you go, your photographs will too, because we use a company that has an app for all phones and tablets. Head on over to our Contact Page and write a quick note, and I’ll send you a link back of our most recent wedding.
Do you have references I can call?Absolutely. Please head over to our Raves page to read actual client reviews and feedback. We can also provide further references at your request.
Who will be photographing my wedding? The president of Cait Fletcher Photography, Cait Fletcher Reardon, herself. I will sit down and meet you at an initial meeting over coffee, so we can make sure we are a great fit for each other.
How many pictures will you take?Typically, I shoot 100 images per hour. Depending on the length of your wedding, you will receive approximately 500-1,000 edited “keepers”.
Do you offer albums and prints in your collections?
We sure do! We work exclusively with a professional print lab to ensure quality, hand-crafted albums and products. We offer gallery wraps (think canvas wraps, but smoother and shiner), albums, parent albums, bamboo block prints, and so much more. You want it, we can make it happen. Head on over to our product page to see some snapshots I’ve taken of the products we offer our clients.
What type of cameras/equipment do you use, and will you have any backups in case something breaks or doesn’t work?
I am the kind of girl with a backup for the backup. I shoot with top of the line Nikon camera bodies, lenses, and lighting, and I will absolutely have backups for your big day. And backups, for the backups.
